Legislaci\u00f3 Europea<\/h2><\/div>
<\/span><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]The European Parliament and Council voted on the 16th of April 2014\u00a0the Directive 2014\/55\/EU\u00a0on electronic invoicing in public procurement<\/strong>. This Directive sets the legal framework for the establishment of a European standard (EN 16931) and requires Member States to adopt it so that it will become mandatory for all contracting authorities and entities to receive and process eInvoices complying with the European norm.<\/p>\n

The eInvoicing European standard was formally published in 6 parts<\/a> by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) with the main objective to allow any company in the EU to communicate electronically with any European governmental institution.<\/p>\n

All eInvoice systems used by public administrations in Member States shall be upgraded and implement the standard before November 2018<\/strong> when the EU Directive starts ruling.
